Sustainability and Innovation: More than 40 years of water-based printing inks at Follmann

At Follmann, sustainability and innovation are not short-term trends, but the result of consistent development work over decades. For more than 40 years, we have been deeply involved in the development and production of water-based, solvent-free printing inks. What is considered an established standard today was truly pioneering work at the time.

A significant milestone followed in 1984 with the development of solvent-free tissue printing inks. This early innovation laid the foundation for our current technological expertise in the field of sustainable printing inks.

Early Decisions as the Foundation of Sustainable Expertise

In the mid-1990s, we made a clear strategic decision to focus exclusively on water-based printing inks. Since then, we have completely phased out solvent-based systems. Today, we have more than 30 years of experience dedicated exclusively to the development and production of water-based printing inks.

This expertise, built over decades, gives us a clear competitive advantage. Customers benefit from proven, sustainable solutions that meet the highest quality standards while also complying with increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.

Follmann stands for a clear philosophy: Sustainable innovation is driven by continuity, technological expertise, and the courage to embrace new approaches at an early stage.
