FOLCO® LIT dispersion adhesives and FOLCO® MELT hot-melt adhesives are used by our customers in a whole array of wood engineering processes:

• Solid wood bonding
• Surface and assembly bonding
• Thermo and cold laminating
• Veneering
• Edge gluing and pre-coating
• Panel and profile wrapping

Tested stability

FOLCO^® LIT wood adhesives comply with durability classes D2, D3 and D4 in accordance with DIN EN 204, as tested by independent institutes such as the "ift" in Rosenheim, Germany, or the "eph" in Dresden, Germany. 

FOLCO^® LIT D3 W91 and FOLCO^® LIT D4 W91 also achieve the highest heat-resistance of at least 7 N/mm² in accordance with DIN EN 14257 (WATT 91).

The dispersion adhesive FOLCO® LIT D3 W91, which has more than proven its worth over the years, satisfies the stringent requirements in terms of flame retardant properties, smoke density and toxicity and has now been certified according to the European Marine Equipment Directive (MED). This seal of quality once again confirms the outstanding suitability of this adhesive for wood and furniture construction. Customer-oriented innovation

The world's first one-component, boiling-water-resistant D4 adhesive comes from the labs at Follmann. The adhesive FOLCO^® LIT D3 TC is ideal for veneers, as its neutral pH value prevents the red discoloration that may occur with certain types of wood. FOLCO^® LIT D2 PP - another Follmann development - enables to glue polypropylene foils without primer.

Follmann has developed special, formaldehyde-free glues for veneering to help our customers in replacing urea-formaldehyde glues.
